Choreographer
Ginger Thatcher has most recently, choreographed & directed
a new version of “Swing” for Maine State Music Theater,
“Wild Women of Planet Wongo,” for the NYMF festival,
and “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” for Two River Theater
CO, the film, “Far From Heaven,” and Maury Yeston’s
new musical, “Hans Christian Anderson,” for Maine Sate
Music Theater. Other NY credits included: Syncopation, Stamford
Theater Works, Big, Gateway Playhouse, The Lucky Chance, Jean Cocteau
Rep., NYC, The Winter’s Tale, Othello, NYC Shakespeare Project,
Barrio Babies, Amas Theater Group NYC, and TV’s As The World
Turns. Regional Credits: The Robber Bridegroom, Cleveland Playhouse,
Hamlet, The Cherry Orchard, Phoenix Theater Ensemble, Don Pasquale,
Cleveland Opera, Eugene Onegin, The Bartered Bride, Glimmerglass
Opera. She has created works for: Oregon Ballet Theater, Louisville
Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, (Triple circle Chor. Award), Minnesota
Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, and Fugate/Bahiri Ballet NY at
the Joyce Theater NYC. Broadway Credits, as Assoc., Asst., and Resident
Choreographer include: The Red Shoes, Carousel, Big, Matthew Bourne’s
Swan Lake, Oklahoma, A year With Frog and Toad. Other Credits: PBS
Othello, San Francisco Ballet, ABT, The Red Shoes, ABT, National
Ballet of Canada, A Brahams Symphony, ABT, and Disney’s Hunchback
of Notre Dame, Berlin, All with Lar Lubovitch, “But Not for
Me,” Martha Graham Dance Co., with Susan Stroman. Teaching
Credits: Norwegian Nat’l Ballet, Ballet Academy East, Steps,
Cleveland Ballet Academy, Houston Ballet Academy, Joffrey New School,
Minnesota Ballet, USDAN, and PeriDance. Her first collaboration
with Eidolon was in 2006.
